Soulful Stacy Barthe.A Legend in the Making?!

I Love Music, that’s a self assured fact for me.And when I bump into some good Music once in awhile, I am always happy.Having a bond with great music is an issue with, I take it seriously.I am a lover of everything in Music because I relate to it with my day to day living.

I have longed to have a listening session to some good music, easy with no hard hitting kicks and snares on them…..And then I bump unto Stacy Barthe’s Music on My random researches.

Since I regard the likes of Lauryn Hill, Brandy, Melanie Fiona, Estelle, Sade, Jill Scott, Rebecca Ferguson and emeli sande among other few as the epitome of Soul, RnB and PoP music, I now realise there might be more artists out there with a greater touch on the said Genres as I discovered a new voice.Well am speaking of non other than the young, beautiful lady by the name Stacy Barthe.

Stacy Barthe is a Singer and songwriter from Brooklyn signed to John legend’s Record Label HOMESCHOOL and the Well known Major Label MOTOWN RECORDS.In 2007 she signed a Publishing deal with Ethiopia Habtermarian to Universal Music Publishing Group, after which she penned down on Britney Spears’ ‘CIRCUS ALBUM’.She has also worked with the likes of Melanie Fiona, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Brandy, Kelly Rowland, Estelle, TI, Diddy and akon(That’s why I regard her as a greater voice of Soul music) as well as Record Producers like Hit-boy, Supa Dups, Cool and Dre and Danja among many others.

On her Musical journey as a Recording artist, she has a sustainable one including several EPs:
~Sincerely Yours, Stacy Barthe (2011).
~Stacy Barthe Presents the Seven days of Christmas(2011).
~In the InBetween (2012).

Ok, let me get into her Latest work ‘P.S. I Love You’ EPwhich was released on Valentines Day.It’s a masterpiece.The writings and are outstanding as is the Production of the recordings.

I Love the fact that I appreciate Reggae Music very much, so having an artist like Stacy Barthe have a couple of songs done in Reggae is a Plus for an additional fan from this side of the continent.

According to her website( http://www.stacybarthe.com ) she is of haitian decent, grew up with the inspiration of Sade, Bob Marley, Ellis Fitzgerald, Lauryn Hill and the Fugees which created a deep and serene portrayal of her life through writing and singing.

On her musical journey so far and the EP, she says, “I’ve always tried to be completely transparent and honest with my songwriting, with the hope that I’m making music that people can truly relate to and grow from. To help spread a message of empowerment and finding the light this Valentines Day, I’ve decided to give my new EP, P.S. I Love You, away for free.
